Although I'm a co-host on Angelic Realms Radio's Tuesday show, actually working with angelic energy is quite new to me. In fact to be honest, I could only name a couple of angels in the Christian pantheon, let alone in Islam or Zoroastrianism, and I couldn't tell you what their specialist subjects are. However as a witch I acknowledge that while our roots predate Christianity and angels by thousands of years, as the movement has grown and developed through the rise and fall of Christianity, so it has embraced the world of angels.

So we can see that while not all witches work with angels, in the same way we don't all work with gods and goddesses, there is a long history of angels being a part of witchcraft, and it was through one of the books in my library that I found this ritual as part of a series on connecting with household spirits to bring harmony to your home. I wanted to share it with you all because though you may not consider yourself a witch, this technique may be just the one you need to truly connect with the angels and get them to bring peace and love to you and your family. Credit where credit is due by the way, this ritual comes from the book "How To Create a Magical Home" by Marie Bruce.
First of all, place a white candle in a suitable holder and arrange it on a safe surface along with a vase of white lilies and a representation of an angel, be it a statue, drawing or model. Settle before it and get comfortable.Breathe deeply for a few moments, then light the candle and say the following words (or ones of your own creation):
I light this candle in honour of the angels. I ask the angels to fill this home with love and light and to assist me in my endeavour to create a magical home and healing sanctuary for myself and my family. May the angels guard and protect this home and all within. So mote it be! Blessed be!
Remain at the altar for a short while, contemplating the powers you have invoked. If you have a specific request to make, make it now. Let the candle burn down for as long as you are in the room, remembering never to leave a burning candle unattended, then blow it out when you are ready and continue with your day.
I hope you give this technique a try, and if you do then let me know how you get on.
Until next time everyone,
Blessed be )0(
