Preparing For A New Life

Merry meet!

As you may know, I am married to a guy who is in the military.  This poses a few problems that we have to overcome.  The main one is that we have had to move a couple of times as he gets posted somewhere new.  This means some sacrifices, though I make them willingly as I knew what I was getting into when we started dating, let alone when we go married.

A little over a year ago, we were sent here to Suffolk.  This is a really beautiful part of England, and only an hour by train from central London, and we both quickly settled in and felt at home.  Yes, it was a bit hit and miss with the garden - it's quite chalky soil which I've not really worked with before - but a few planters and baskets soon made the place look pretty for the summer.  After all, it wasn't as if the climate was different or the plants unfamiliar.

Now, however, we have found out that we are being drafted overseas for the first time.  It is my husband's dream job, one he has been working towards for years, so while he put in the hard work on a practical level, I worked hard on manifesting the draft on an astral level.  Each night I meditated and visualised him already out there; working on the aircraft, training the new guys, a valued member of the team who would bring so much passion and enthusiasm as well as years of experience.  It paid off because we have just found out not only has he been given the draft, but he was the number one choice!  So here I am with my garden barely begun, waiting to get the date we're expected to move.  Being a foreign country, I will no doubt have to learn some new herbs and local folklore, but that is what I am looking forward to.  Besides, it's not like we're going to some dodgy war zone or anything.  Oh, didn't I say?  Sorry about that.  We're moving to America :)

Watch this space because no doubt my blog may be taken over by all the things we need to organise, and any tips will be great fully appreciated.

Blessed be )0(
